Daniella Maor is a Senior Associate at Earth Security Group. She is a senior expert on strategic engagement of the private sector to achieve sustainability goals. She was previously USAID's Innovations Advisor to the Bureau for Food Security. In this role she led several Agency efforts to develop private sector engagement strategies and to broker country-level corporate partnerships to address food security priorities.
She has deep experience in building coalitions between governments, development agencies, and agribusinesses that effectively tackle systems-level challenges. She has also designed and directed global programs that empowered host-country governments to more successfully promote and facilitate investment in food security-related agriculture. Daniella’s work and approach to partnerships has consistently combined a focus on supporting relationships between private and public actors, leveraging market forces to align incentives, and creating shared value.
Daniella has previously held positions at the US Department of Agriculture, Chemonics International and as a consultant for the World Bank, the UN Food & Agriculture Organisation, and Clorox. She has more than fifteen years of experience, and has worked in over 20 countries across Africa, the Caribbean, the Caucuses, and South Asia. She holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BA from Oberlin College in Politics.
